COR-KNOT®device.
Automated titanium fasteners that replace hand-tied knots in valve surgery.

Faster closure.
Automates suture fastening and trimming; studies show average savings of over 15 minutes.
Less time on bypass.
May reduce aortic cross-clamp and cardiopulmonary bypass time compared with standard care.
Access anywhere.
Reaches hard-to-reach places where hand-tying is strained and variable.
What it enhances.
In cardiac surgery every second matters, and so does every suture. The COR-KNOT® device is a single-use device that replaces hand-tied surgical knots in valve surgery, including open and minimally invasive mitral valve repair and aortic valve replacement. By automating the fastening and trimming of sutures it reduces time under anesthesia and supports a secure, reliable seal. For surgeons it removes the strain and variability of hand-tying knots, especially in hard-to-reach areas; for patients it means shorter surgeries, fewer risks and a smoother path to healing.

Strength, security and reliability
The COR-KNOT® device is faster than manual hand-tying and offers single binding power, safety and reliability for valve replacement and repair. It saves time during the procedure and enables access to hard-to-reach places compared with the tools used so far. Numerous studies show an average saving of over 15 minutes, and COR-KNOT® reduces cardiopulmonary bypass time, reduces aortic cross-clamp time and reduces the risk of paravalvular leak.

COR-KNOT® fastener
Made from medical-grade titanium, a COR-KNOT® fastener is a mushroom-shaped hollow sleeve which is crimped by the COR-KNOT® device to fasten together segments of suture.

COR-KNOT® Quick Load unit
Expedites the loading and reloading of a COR-KNOT® fastener into the COR-KNOT® device.

In their words.
I like the Cor-Knot device because it makes these surgeries even quicker. When I see that we're not using the device, I literally ask why are we not using Cor-Knot this time?
