MicroPort Orthopedics
Hipsystem.
Prime acetabular cups and Profemur® primary and revision stems, one hip system from MicroPort.

Bone conservation.
Cup systems designed with a focus on preserving bone and surgical flexibility.
Intra-operative flexibility.
One set of instruments covers multiple Profemur® stems.
Cementless fixation.
BioFoam® Cancellous Titanium is designed for early fixation that lasts.
What it enhances.
One hip system: MicroPort acetabular cups built on over 25 years of market history, with a focus on bone conservation, and the Profemur® line of primary and revision femoral stems, designed for intra-operative flexibility with one set of instruments for multiple stems.
Prime acetabular system
The Prime acetabular cup system is the next step in the evolution of the successful Dynasty® acetabular cup system.
BioFoam® Cancellous Titanium
BioFoam® Cancellous Titanium represents a new generation in cementless fixation. It is a biocompatible implant that gives early fixation and holds up to the long-term demands of younger, more active patients.

A-Class® Highly Cross-Linked Polyethylene
The balanced processing of A-Class® Highly Cross-Linked Polyethylene greatly reduces wear while keeping the material's mechanical properties.

E-Class® Vitamin E Blended Highly Cross-Linked Polyethylene
Poly material selection: a specific polyethylene has been chosen to manufacture the acetabular liners, with high impact strength, tensile strength and yield strength.
Cross-linking process: the selected polyethylene is subjected to a radiation cycle to facilitate cross-linking of the polymers and enhance wear resistance. The mechanical properties of the material are maintained.

The Profemur® line
Each Profemur® hip stem is designed in line with an established stem philosophy, incorporating features that have been in the market for several years and improving on them with proven materials and instrumentation. A well-designed femoral stem gives surgeons the confidence to achieve strong fixation and long-term outcomes, even in complex cases, while allowing efficient implantation and reliable integration with the patient's bone.
Profemur TL
The Profemur TL hip stem allows for three-point fixation and is shaped to contact cortical bone medially and laterally, conserving cancellous bone anteriorly and posteriorly.

In their words.
The return of range of motion is much faster, they get much better motion and they get it quicker. They're out of the hospital sooner, their pain is better and they seem to get back to the activities that they want to do at a much quicker rate.
The Profemur Preserve, which I think is a great implant, preserves bone stock. It has good fit, it comes in a wide range of sizes, and it's very easy to get in from an anterior approach, with those small incisions.
